EPIC FAIL

Look at the picture. It says Epic Fail! Sometimes there are no excuses! If I were God, that's what I'd be thinking right now! When was the last time you talked to someone about God??? When was the last time you did something for God?? When was the last time you PRAYED??? We as Christians are FAILING, and the world is getting worse and we are going right down with them. I'm tired of how the world is getting worse! I haven't heard anything on the news about a person praising God or telling people about Him. Ever. Sure, you probably go to church and are a "good person" and never really get in trouble at school. But, do you live your life for God??? We are not called to be "good" people, but to make disciples of all nations.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit!
Matthew 28:19

Now, are we even making disciples in our own school? NO, we're not! We are failing God! I'm not trying to make you feel bad because you might occasionally do good things. But it needs to be constant and for God, not to make you look good and not to impress your teachers, but for God!
I do not want to be an epic fail. I might mess up and have messed up, but I want to choose to live for God. I want you to live for God, too because you are not an EPIC FAIL!.

Learning New Things!

You know what I learned today??? I learned that even the littlest things can have great consequences. Here's the gist of what happened! I was walking in to my 4th period class and was fixing to sit down when someone asked me to sit by them! Of course I said "yea!" Well about 10 minutes into class this person and their friend started passing a note so I thought I'd join in! Little did I know that note contained some very inappropriate things on it and the next thing I know is that I'm in trouble!

I learned that every thing is a choice. Every little thing you choose can and will affect you greatly. If you make a bad choice, you're gonna get bad consequences. You've got to live every day like it's your last! That doesn't mean go out and party, it means live your life for God! I want you to go the next week only encouraging others and not getting involved with your idiotic classmates. It'll be hard, but that is why you have to pray! Read this verse every morning when you get up...

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Ephesians 4:29

Do it for the Lord!!!

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
Whatever you do, do it for the glory of the Lord. I don’t think many people comprehend that because I sure don’t. It is really hard to be happy and joyful when one of your parents says to go clean the bathroom or wash the dishes. Usually the first thing that pops into your head is “Ugh, am I the only one that can do anything around here?” What that verse is saying is that we do things in return for what He has given us. If you’re mad you have to do the laundry just be thankful you have clothes to wear. If you’re mad you have to take out the trash just be happy you have food to eat. It also says
For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son, so that we may not perish but have everlasting life
John 3:16
So don’t you think that since someone died for us we should do everything for him and do it with a huge smile on our faces? If you give someone twenty dollars don’t you want them to do at least something for you with a smile? Now I’m not saying that we’re repaying God for what He’s done and will because we aren’t and will not. I’m saying that we should be thankful for everything he has done. Did you know that even you take out the trash and do it for the Lord and not because you have to you’re actually worshiping him!
I want you to do everything this week for the Lord….. and do it with a smile!!!!!!

Hold it!

Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.
When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
James 3:1-12
Our tongues are the most powerful part of our body. They control almost every consequence whether it’s good or bad. What you say affects peoples’ lives forever. When you tell someone they look good or they beautiful/cool hair they remember for a long time. But they also remember the negative a lot longer than the good. Did you know that if you insult it will take 7 compliments to make it up? Every single thing affects you and others. You need to hold your tongue. I need to especially because I insult the most of all. So lets hold each other accountable. You keep praying about this and work on it this month and I will too.

The Tongue!

Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20
We as Christians are supposed to make disciples of all nations. Does that mean you need to leave the country? No, it means you need to do your job in your town, school or work. What is your job? To speak the gospel to everyone. Its not going to be easy, there will be people that don’t want to listen but all you can do is plant a seed and God will water the plant. One of the most efficient ways to spread the word is to live by example. You need to make people wonder, “why is he so caring to people.” Or, “I wish I could love like that.” Make them wonder what gives you that happiness.
The bottom line is that you got to let the Lord speak through so that you can change the world one step at a time.

Choose: God vs. World

What do you do when you get up in the morning? You probably brush your teeth or make your bed. Every day you make a choice. Either to start your day by listening to non-Christian music or playing video games OR you can pray. You can choose to start your day with God. You choose whether to cuss or gossip about someone. Choose. That’s a really big six letter word. You choose between simple things like whether you’re going to get ice cream or seconds at lunch. Or big things like whether you’re going to tell your friend about Christ.

Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.”
John 7:16-18

If anyone chooses to God’s will….. You have to choose to be part of God’s plan. And you wanna know how to start off. Start every day with God.
